Maximise your potential at Assessment Bootcamp - Useful tips and study strategies for assessment success.

This workshop introduces practical strategies for planning, structuring and writing an academic essay. We will explore what makes an effective essay, from developing a clear structure and well-organised paragraphs to writing strong introductions and conclusions. We will also look at how to find and use evidence, maintain an appropriate academic tone, and improve your work through editing and proofreading.

By the end of this workshop, you should be able to:

  • plan and structure an academic essay
  • write effective introductions, paragraphs and conclusions
  • use research and evidence effectively in your writing
  • apply an appropriate academic tone
  • use editing and proofreading strategies to improve your writing
  • identify where to get further help with academic writing.

This is a live online workshop and is not recorded. Registered attendees will receive the slides after the workshop.
