Occupational Therapy
How we help
Our service is run by students who are supervised by qualified and experienced Occupational Therapists. We are committed to ensuring every client receives compassionate, evidence-based care while helping to shape the next generation of allied health professionals. We offer therapy to children 3 - 8 years old.
We can assist children with:
- School readiness – developing foundational skills for a successful start to school
- Fine motor skills – handwriting, drawing, using everyday items (pencils and scissors) and hand strength
- Gross motor skills – balance, coordination and whole-body movement
- Emotional and self-regulation – managing feelings, attention and behaviour
- Sensory processing – understanding and responding to sensory information
- Social and play skills – building relationships, communication and engagement in play
An adult Occupational Therapy service will begin in 2027. Further information on this service will be available at a later date.

Frequently Asked Questions
Occupational therapists work with children and their families to help build the skills needed for everyday life. This can include supporting children with learning, play, social interactions, and daily routines.
They take the time to understand each child’s strengths, challenges and goals, and provide personalised strategies to support their development.
Sessions are delivered by occupational therapy students, under the supervision of highly experienced Occupational Therapists.
Appointments typically run for 45 minutes, depending on your needs.
For all our services delivered by students we are unable to offer a private health or Medicare rebate.
Please bring any previous reports, relevant medical history and medication list. For children, please bring their school or kinder notes (if applicable). Bringing their favourite toy or book can also be helpful.
