La Trobe Communication Clinic
The La Trobe Communication Clinic provides high quality speech pathology services to the community from the University's Bundoora campus or via telehealth.
Our Clinic offers a range of evidence-based services in voice, fluency (stuttering), and paediatric speech and language. It is equipped with ten clinical spaces with adjacent observation rooms for teaching purposes.
Our clinical programs are delivered by students working under the direct supervision of highly qualified and experienced clinician educators. It is part of our mission to ensure that students develop the competencies, skills and experience to provide safe and effective speech pathology services to the community on graduation.
Services
Our services include:
We support preschool children with speech and/or language delays or disorders and their parent/carers. Services are tailored to the individual needs of the child and involve a combination of assessment, individual therapy, parent/carer education, reviews and home programs. Services are provided by student clinicians who work under the supervision of a qualified speech pathologist.
We offer assessment and treatment services to children under the age of eight years who stutter. Evidence-based programs are delivered by final year students and a qualified speech pathologist.
We offer an individualised program of voice and communication services for adults and children with a range of voice and communication difficulties. Our services are supported by world leading researchers, skilled voice clinicians and final year speech pathology students.
We offer an individualised program of voice and communication training for trans people. Our services are supported by world leading researchers, skilled voice clinicians and final year speech pathology students. Find out more.
