Speech Pathology
How we help
Our service is delivered by students who are supervised by qualified and experienced Speech Pathologists. We are committed to ensuring every client receives compassionate, evidence-based care while helping to shape the next generation of allied health professionals.
We offer care to both children (6 years or under) and adults.
For children:
- Early language development
- Unclear speech
- Understanding and using language
- Stuttering
- Reading and spelling
- Eating and drinking
- Play skills
- Voice disorders (diagnosed by an Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) specialist)
For adults:
- Participating in conversations by helping to understand others, finding the right word or making a sentence
- Reading and spelling
- Unclear speech
- Voice training for professionals (e.g. teachers, lawyers)
- Voice concerns
- Voice disorders diagnosed by an Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) Specialist (a referral is required for this service).
- Gender affirming voice and communication training
- Swallowing – safe eating and drinking including food modification. (Please note: we do not offer Video fluoroscopy or Fibreoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) at this clinic, non-instrumental support only.)
Important eligibility information
We are unable to offer services to clients who have Speech Pathology on their National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) plan or children 6 years and under.

Frequently Asked Questions
A speech pathologist assesses and treats difficulties with communication, speech, language and comprehension, voice, fluency and swallowing.
Sessions are delivered by student clinicians, under the supervision of highly experienced Speech Pathologists.
Appointments typically run for 45 – 60 minutes, depending on your needs.

For all our services delivered by students we are unable to offer a private health or Medicare rebate.
Some services do have a waiting period whilst others do not. Please contact us to find out the most up to date waiting period.
Please bring any previous reports, relevant medical history and medication list. For children, please bring their school or kinder notes (if applicable). Bringing their favourite toy or book can also be helpful.
