The easiest way to donate is online via our secure donation form.
There are many other ways to give to La Trobe University. These include by phone, by leaving a gift in your will, establishing a gift in perpetuity or giving from overseas. You can also set up regular donations.
At La Trobe University, 100% of your gift will go directly towards your nominated cause.

In recognition of the confidence that has been placed in the University by its donors, and the importance of these assets to the University’s continued excellence, it is the University’s highest priority to ensure that these funds are well invested.
As per La Trobe University's Fundraising Policy, funds raised are directed through the La Trobe University Foundation and governed by the University’s investment and management policies.
Gifts to La Trobe University are managed in accordance with the Gift Acceptance Policy to ensure they align to strategic goals of the University as well as fulfilling donor intent.
Gifts made through La Trobe’s online donation platform are used immediately for the purpose you designate. But when you contact us and set up an endowed gift, it means that your donation is invested and, each year, only the investment income is used to fund programs or scholarships. This arrangement lets your contribution make an impact in perpetuity. Yes, donors can make tax-effective donations from Hong Kong, the United Kingdom and the United States through our partners the Chapel & York Foundation.
Please visit the relevant Chapel & York Foundation website below to donate. Simply select La Trobe University from the list of fund-holders.

Donor recognition
Every gift to La Trobe, no matter the size, has the capacity to make an impact. We're incredibly grateful to all our donors. We acknowledge each donation of $2 or more with a tax receipt, and a letter of thanks.
We also recognise donors who have given $1,000 or more annually, or who have supported La Trobe’s mission consistently for over five years, as part of our Chancellor’s Circle.
Donors who leave a gift to the University in their Will are welcomed to the La Trobe Guild.
We take requests for anonymity very seriously. You can indicate your wishes by checking “I would like this gift to remain anonymous” when you make your online donation or alternately, contact us on +61 3 9479 2011 or at fundraising@latrobe.edu.au
The Chancellor's Circle is a loyal community of donors who make significant gifts to the University. This remarkable group comprises alumni, staff and friends who are united by their commitment to making an impact.
If you make an annual gift of $1,000 or above, or you have consistently made gifts for over five consecutive years, you will receive special acknowledgement as a valued member of the Chancellor’s Circle.
Members of the Chancellor’s Circle can expect invitations to special events and opportunities to connect with like-minded supporters or meet with those who have benefitted from their gift.
The La Trobe Guild is a community of donors who have pledged a gift to La Trobe in their Will. Their generosity reflects a shared vision - to make a lasting impact on society.
As a member of the La Trobe Guild, you will be invited to exclusive events. These gatherings offer opportunities for you and your loved ones to engage with the inspirational work happening across the university and connect with fellow supporters who share a passion for advancing education, groundbreaking discoveries, and enriching learning environments.
Receipts and records
All donations to La Trobe University of $2 or more are tax deductible for Australian taxpayers.
Yes. We aim to provide donors with receipts for their gifts within 1-3 business days. If you have made a gift online, you will receive your receipt via email once payment has been approved. If you have chosen to make a recurring monthly gift, you will receive a receipt at the end of the financial year.
