Get ready for a refreshing addition to campus life at Bundoora!

We’re introducing an exciting new pop-up bar and student lounge that promise to be hubs of social activity. Whether you’re looking for a relaxed spot to catch up with friends, enjoy a refreshing beverage or simply unwind after a day of classes, the pop-up bar and lounge will be the place to be.

We invited you to make history and name the summer pop-bar and lounge and can’t wait to announce the winning entries.

Discounted St John’s First Aid Courses

Thanks to an awesome partnership with St John’s First Aid, we’re excited to offer exclusive discounted first aid courses for La Trobe students again in 2024.

Whether you need to undertake first aid training for placement or simply want to be able to respond to first aid emergencies, this discounted course is a great way to upskill without having to part with too much of your hard-earned cash!

The discounted courses cover a range of first aid techniques and certifications.

New La Trobe Sports Grandstand:

Excitement has been building on campus with the unveiling of the new La Trobe Sports Park Stadium grandstand.

This state-of-the-art facility promises to enhance the overall sporting experience for students and spectators thanks to increased seating capacity and improved viewing angles.

Whether you’re a dedicated athlete or a passionate supporter, this grandstand is set to elevate the University’s sporting culture to new heights.

UniSport Nationals Championship Success

We’re so proud to share our outstanding performance in the UniSport Nationals Championship over the summer break!

Our sports teams showcased exceptional talent and determination, resulting in an impressive ranking among the best universities in the nation.

La Trobe’s commitment to excellence in sports is evident in the latest rankings and you can participate in the vibrant sporting community on campus! Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or looking to try something new, there’s a place for everyone to get involved in sport at La Trobe.

Infrastructure and operations – Campus developments

Theres a heap of exciting developments across our campuses including the upgrade of the Jenny Graves building at Bundoora. Featuring a digital innovation hub and student service centre we can’t wait to celebrate it’s completion in February as students start to return to campus!

Works across Albury-Wodonga, Bendigo and Shepparton have continued across the break, including new nursing labs and shared study spaces.

Employability

Industry Mentoring: 115 students were matched for a 12-week industry mentoring program (register now for our next program begins in March!).

Career Ready Advantage Award: Over the break many students took advantage of their free time to work on developing career management skills and achieve awards that will be noted on their next academic transcript!

Careers Resources: Career Ready OnLine and LinkedIn Learning are FREE resources available 24/7. Completing these activities and courses also contribute to your Career Ready Advantage Award.

Orientation week!

We’ve been working hard on planning Orientation week for Semester 1, 2024, and we can’t wait to welcome you to campus for another year of fun!

Come along to one of our biggest Orientation events and prepare to meet a whole bunch of new people. There’ll be music, fun activities, free food, and giveaways, you can join a club or society and lots more!
