Orientation week is your chance to dive into uni life and we’re celebrating across all campuses with exciting Welcome Festivals!
Whether you’re new to La Trobe or returning for another semester, these events are the perfect way to connect with other students, explore clubs and discover the support services available to you. Expect live music, interactive activities, free food and plenty of good vibes.
What’s happening at your campus:
Melbourne (Bundoora) – Orientation Welcome Festival, Course Meets & Greets
Tuesday 22 July, 11am – 2pm, Indoor Sports Centre
Welcome to the Semester 2 Winter Fest at the Melbourne (Bundoora) campus! Come down to the Indoor Sports Centre and chat to your Student Services and Clubs. Join in the activities and have a go on the huge inflatable toboggan slide or be one of many to win La Trobe merch! Classe 90 will be serving free, hot pizza while Eatalian Made serve you a delicious chocolate waffle and mulled wine to keep you warm. There’ll be heaps of fun to be had with Carlton FC and lots of giveaways to be collected from Optus, Hungry Panda, Red Bull and many more!
Melbourne (City) – Orientation Welcome Festival, Course Meets & Greets
Wednesday 23 July, 12pm – 2pm, Level 3
Join us for the Orientation Welcome Festival at the City campus! Meet your peers and support services while you enjoy some music, free food from Eatalian Made and LTU giveaways.
Albury-Wodonga – Orientation Welcome Back Festival
Tuesday 29 July, 12pm – 2pm, Campus Lawns & Discovery Way
We’re kicking off Semester 2 with a warm welcome back to campus. Whether you’re new or returning, this is your chance to connect with support services and student stalls, play the fun “Mugshot” game with the LTSA and score some great freebies. Enjoy a free lunch where you can choose between loaded rice or a tasty burger from Redhead and Chef, paired with a hot drink from La Moka. Do this all while relaxing to live music by Jared Buckley on the campus lawns. It’s the perfect way to settle into the semester, meet new faces and enjoy everything campus life has to offer.
Mildura – Orientation Welcome Back Festival
Tuesday 29 July, 12pm – 2pm, BGR Student Hub
Join us for La Trobe Mildura’s Winter Warmer to kick off Semester 2! Discover student support stalls, enjoy a free pasta lunch from Bella Italiano, treat yourself to a free gourmet hot chocolate and score brand new merchandise and prize packs! Whether you’re a new or returning student, it’s the perfect chance to connect, explore what’s on offer and warm up for a great semester ahead.
Shepparton – Orientation Welcome Back Festival
Wednesday 30 July, 12pm – 2pm, La Trobe Shepparton Campus
Are you a new student starting in Semester 2? Or current student returning after the mid-year break?
Shepparton Campus invites you to enjoy FREE food from Kev’s Crepes and Central Vic Baked Potatoes, stalls including various LTU student services and externals. Also, don’t forget entertainment and giveaways! The Welcome Festival is the best way to prepare and kickstart your semester at La Trobe Shepparton.
Bendigo – Orientation Welcome Festival, Course Meets & Greets
Thursday 31 July, 11am – 2pm, LTU Gallery Space
Join us for hot food from Flying Woks and 776 BC Loukoumades as well as live music from Ryan Gay. Meet on-campus support staff and student club representatives. Connect with external groups like Deloitte, Bank First, the Australian Red Cross Lifeblood, the Department of Education Koorie Outcomes Division, Australian Labor Party and Optus as they showcase what’s on offer for you at La Trobe in the Bendigo region. Whether you’re a new or returning student, this is the perfect way to start Semester 2 strong.

How to get to Orientation
Albury-Wodonga
Car parking is currently free on the Albury-Wodonga campus.
Our campus is easily accessible by car, rail or air. We are approximately 3km from the centre of Wodonga, next door to Wodonga Institute of TAFE.
Bendigo
To find car park locations at the Bendigo Campus, please refer to the Bendigo Campus Map.
CellOPark Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG) is an easy alternative to parking meters. This user-friendly alternative allows you to make parking payments conveniently through an app, phone, or online.
Pay-by-Plate parking meters are a ticketless system using your vehicle registration – pay hourly or daily.
Public transport options for getting to Bendigo include train and bus services. Bendigo has an extensive bus network to move around the city and get to and from the Flora Hill Campus. For more information on routes and timetables, please see the Public Transport Bendigo page.
Melbourne (Bundoora)
If driving, Car Parks 6 is within 1 minutes’ walk of Simpson Lawn. This is paid parking from 8-5 Monday- Friday. The daily fee is $6.80, and can be paid via:

If you are coming by public transport, the 86 Tram stop is a 10-15 minute walk from the Agora and the 250, 350, 548, 550, 551 and 561 buses all stop on Thomas Cherry Forecourt. The 550 train offers a direct route to Macleod Train Station.
Mildura
Car parking is free at the Mildura Campus.
The Mildura Campus is easily accessible by car, bus, walking or cycling. Our Transport Central team have all the up to date details on Mildura Public Transport. The campus has bicycle parking available.
Shepparton
Parking is available via Stuart Street.
