We’re making some positive changes to the delivery of our frontline services, like ASK La Trobe and Student Advising, to better serve you and meet your needs.
Get ready for new ways to connect and updated service hours!
From 15 April, you can now connect with ASK La Trobe each weekday (Monday to Friday) between 9 am and 5 pm via the following options:
- On-campus support in the ASK La Trobe Help Zone
- LiveChat
- Phone: 1300 LA TROBE (1300 528 762 – option 1)
As always, you can continue to Ask a Question Online at any time, and get 24/7 information from our Frequently Asked Questions and Charlie chatbot.
While the virtual drop-in will no longer operate on Fridays, the ASK La Trobe team may offer you a Zoom link via LiveChat or phone call if your issue requires a more hands on approach. They might even screenshare to resolve your query.
This update to ASK La Trobe’s service (including Student Advising drop-ins) is a pilot and will be offered until 14 June. After this date, the pilot will be reviewed using data, including feedback from the University community.
New face-to-face support from Student Advisors
We’re also excited to share that our Student Advising team will begin offering on campus face-to-face drop-ins.
When you visit the Student Advising Centre or ASK La Trobe Help Zone at your campus, you’ll first speak with a member of the ASK La Trobe team who will assist you, and may assess that you need specific support from a Student Advisor. Please note that you won’t be able to request to meet directly with a Student Advisor, the ASK La Trobe team will assess if you require specialist support from an Advisor.
At Bundoora, Student Advisors will be available in the new dedicated Student Advising Centre in the Jenny Graves building based on the following roster by School/cohort.
