Hear from students

Jess Summers, Faye Clarke Scholarship

“I applied because I knew it would take a lot of pressure off while I’m studying. Uni is a big commitment and having some financial support makes it easier to stay focused and actually enjoy the experience instead of stressing about money all the time.

It’s helped heaps. I can put more energy into my coursework and placements. It’s also made day-to-day things like buying textbooks or covering travel costs so much easier.

Go for it! Even if you’re not sure you’ll get it, it’s absolutely worth applying. The process isn’t as scary as it seems, and the support can make a massive difference.”

Rajkumar Sekar, Vice-Chancellor’s Access Scholarship

“Receiving this scholarship has reduced the financial pressure that comes with studying. I was able to purchase a laptop for my coursework and cover transport costs like fuel and parking, which makes it easier to attend classes and placements regularly.

Overall, it’s reduced stress and allowed me to focus more on my studies and academic progress.

My advice is to definitely apply, even if you’re unsure. Take the time to complete your application properly. It’s a valuable opportunity that can positively impact your university journey.”
