The Staff Self Service Password Reset Utility, a self-service online password reset system, allows you to reset your La Trobe staff password from a web browser once you have registered. This can also be used if your password has expired by clicking on the Forgot My Password link.
Note: You must know your current password to enrol.
Change your password by entering the verification code sent to your mobile phone or alternate email address.
How else can I change my password?
If you know what your existing password is, you can change your password via one of the following options:
Available on any computer that has internet access.
Available on any University owned Windows computer that is logged on with either a La Trobe staff or student account and the computer is connected to La Trobe University's network.
The preferred option for any University owned Mac computer that is logged on with either a La Trobe staff or student account and the computer is connected to La Trobe University's network. If you are off campus, you can [connect via VPN] to use this method.

Why must I change my password every 90 days?
The University is audited by the Victorian Auditor General's Office. We are audited according to Whole of Victorian Government standards set by the Department of Treasury and Finance which state that passwords must be changed at least every 90 days.
