Last month, we invited students to nominate to become the next student members of the La Trobe University Council.
The University Council is La Trobe’s governing body and is responsible for overseeing the University’s overall direction and performance.
A total of thirty four (34) students have nominated for the undergraduate and postgraduate student member positions. Now it’s your opportunity to have your say and elect your student representatives on Council.

Have your say
Voting opened at 9am on Wednesday 16 September and closes at 5pm on Wednesday 23 September 2026.
All students eligible to vote have received an individual email from our third-party voting provider, BigPulse. The email includes a link to vote, voting instructions and candidate photos and profiles to help you make your decision.
To be eligible to vote, students must:
- be at least 18 years of age
- be currently enrolled at La Trobe University
- not be a staff member of the University. Students who are also staff members fall within the staff category and are eligible to vote in the staff member election.
Eligible undergraduate students can vote for the undergraduate student member, while eligible postgraduate students can vote for the postgraduate student member.
