See La Trobe innovation in action: Biosensors

La Trobe students are invited to Innovation Series: Biosensors in Action, a free, in-person event on Wednesday 28 October showcasing how La Trobe researchers are working with industry and government partners to translate biosensor research into real-world applications.

Held at the Eagleworks Innovation Centre, this is an opportunity to discover emerging biosensor technologies and explore their real-world impact across healthcare, diagnostics and public safety.

How can a portable sensor help detect drugs at the roadside? Could new imaging technology support faster and more accurate cancer diagnosis? And what does it take to move a biosensor from the lab into large-scale production?

Hear from La Trobe researchers and industry collaborators from Victoria Police, Triton Biosensors, AlleSense, the BEST Centre and MOBIUS, as they explore innovations spanning roadside drug detection, cancer diagnostics and point-of-use blood testing.

Speakers will share the science behind these technologies and the journey from research to real-world impact – including clinical validation, commercialisation, scalable manufacturing and large-scale production.

Presentations will be followed by an interactive panel discussion and audience Q&A, giving attendees the opportunity to hear directly from researchers, innovators and industry leaders working at the forefront of biosensor technology.
