About the Student Council
The Council’s role is to consult with students and advocate for new ideas and innovations.
Established in 2025, the first Student Council will shape its own ongoing direction and agenda, with a broad mission to consult with the student body and collectively advocate for student ideas and feedback – both academic and non-academic – to senior university leadership.
The Council will consist of 16 elected students. Quotas will be set to ensure the Council is representative of the diversity of all La Trobe University students and campuses.
