Why find your own placement?
Let’s be honest, the idea of sourcing your own placement can feel a little daunting.
However, it’s also one of the most rewarding steps you can take during your university journey.
By sourcing your own placement, you:
- Tailor your experience – choose a field, company, or position because it aligns with your interests and future goals
- Build job-ready skills – from writing cover letters to preparing for interviews, you’ll learn by doing
- Get a head start on your professional network – meet future mentors, references, and potential employers
- Gain clarity – learn what you do (and don’t) enjoy in a work environment so you can make the right choices for your future
The best part? You’re not on your own.
