Studying off shore can be challenging, especially if you are studying on your own. That’s why we are hosting informal drop-in sessions to help keep you connected, motivated and engaged.
Conversation Club is an opportunity to meet fellow off-campus International students who may be studying in the same country or even the same area as you.
Talking and connecting with people is a valuable social and academic skill. At Conversation Club you can meet, talk, and listen to other students. Conversation Club is a welcoming space where you can share your experiences about study and life in Australia, hear about the experiences of others, and connect with other students, both international and local.
What will we discuss?
We aim to discuss topics including culture, life in Australia, as well as useful language points. This is a great opportunity to develop your social and interaction skills. The only thing you need to bring is your experiences and an open mind.
Please bring your questions about studying in Australia or life in Australia to us and we can share what we know. We would also love to hear from you if you’re offshore! What is your offshore study La Trobe experience like? If you’re here already, how has your experience been so far?
We meet both on-campus and online every week!
Bendigo Campus: Thursdays, 3:30 pm – 4:30 pm in the Student Chillout space.
Melbourne (Bundoora): Wednesdays, 1:30 pm-2:30 pm, in the Reading Hub, Library Level 1
Online: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 2:30 pm – 3:30 pm (AEST time).
