Graduate jobs: here’s where to find them!

It can be difficult to know when and where to start applying for graduate roles, and this will often depend on your future industry and chosen profession.

It’s important to regularly check the main job boards, websites, and job search resources to keep up to date with all the latest job postings.

The Career Hub Jobs Board, Employer Connect, and Careers Directory are three La Trobe job posting resources that you’ll definitely want to familiarise yourself with!

Here’s a quick run-down of each:

Career Hub

Career Hub is the place to go to register for careers and employability events, book an appointment for a career consultation, ask your career questions and check out resources such as Career Essentials Resumes, Cover Letters, and Key Selection Criteria (KSC).

Career Hub also has a jobs board that includes all types of opportunities from full-time employment, part-time, and casual to volunteering, internships, and graduate programs. There are also regular news items to check out to make sure you stay up to date with what’s on offer to assist you in your career!

Careers Directory

Careers Directory allows you to search for graduate jobs, internships, and virtual experiences. La Trobe has partnered with Prosple to bring you regular Careers Talks (Tuesdays and Thursdays) on a whole range of career topics.

Salary information has now been added to the Careers Directory to allow you to get a better understanding of what each role entails and the skills and experience required for different salary levels. It’s a great way to see what you can aim for and plan your career progression.

You can easily search for graduate roles according to location and begin to plan your international career! Check out their Essential Advice articles and day-in-the-life career stories of La Trobe graduates.

Employer Connect

Employer Connect is a jobs board developed by GradConnection. You can search for graduate jobs as well as casual, part-time, and vacation employment according to your discipline, preferred location, and even working rights. There are currently 1600 jobs available for La Trobe University students from loads of active employers.

You can also link to these three job boards from our main careers resource, Career Ready OnLine!

Career Ready OnLine is where you’ll go to develop your resume and cover letter and put your resume through the AI tech to get almost instant feedback from CV360 and then practice your interview technique with Interview360. If you haven’t uploaded your resume yet, do it today!

If you have any questions about any of these resources and job boards, make sure you reach out to a Career Ready Ambassador.
