Expressions of Interest Open: Join the Student Council

Are you passionate about improving the student experience at La Trobe? We are currently seeking applications from students to fill vacancies on the Student Council.

What does the Student Council do?

The Student Council plays an important role in representing the student voice and providing advice on matters that impact the student experience across the University.

There are currently five (5) vacancies available, with the potential for additional appointments as part of a planned expansion of Student Council membership.

Appointments will be made in accordance with the Student Council Terms of Reference and approved by the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Student Experience and Employability) in consultation with the Student Council Co-Chairs.

How can you make a difference?

As a Student Council member, you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Represent the views and experiences of students
  • Contribute to discussions that shape the student experience
  • Develop leadership, communication and governance skills
  • Work collaboratively with students and University staff
