Could you, or someone you know, benefit from a Western Chances Scholarship?
La Trobe University is a proud supporter of Western Chances, an organisation that provides young people in Melbourne’s west the chance to fulfil their potential and overcome barriers to success by providing scholarships, opportunity programs and ongoing support.
Their annual scholarships, which average $950 – $1,200, support talented and motivated students who may not otherwise have the opportunity to pursue their education dreams.
To be eligible for a Western Chances scholarship you must:
- be aged 12 to 25 years
- be enrolled at University or TAFE
- be a resident in Brimbank, Hobsons Bay, Maribyrnong, Melton, Moonee Valley or Wyndham
- demonstrate talent, motivation and commitment to education or pathway
- demonstrate financial need or hardship
