DS Horizontal child nav

Component description

The DS Horizontal child nav is a miniature navigational menu that displays horizontally across a microsite’s home or parent page. The menu displays the second-level pages in the site structure and helps users navigate your site.

Nav alignment
Defaulted centre, but can aligned left.

CTA-link
Choice of adding a CTA button to your menu which is styled red.

Display options

  • The default alignment is to the centre of the page, but it can be left aligned.

Guidelines for use

  • The component should only be used on your home or parent page, do not apply across the site.
  • Ensure you’ve correctly structured your site’s Information Architecture (IA) in a logical order.
  • As the site’s page titles display in the navigation, ensure your second level (and child) site page titles are short, logical and make sense to the user.
  • Add a CTA button (which are styled red) to your DS Horizontal nav component to highlight a key user action.
