  • Ensure images are optimised and compressed for web for faster page load speeds
  • Image can be set to ‘bleed’ or ‘right’. Bleed overlays text over the image. Use bleed for images that have a main person as the key subject in the center right or textural images. Use right setting for conventional images.

Guidelines for use

  • The DS hero banner should only be used on your microsite’s level one landing page (or microsite homepage). It needs to be at the top of the page. The banner is the most visually prominent element on the page.
  • Use a strong, LTU branded image that visually conveys your area’s core business to engage users. Your site’s title and subheading should also describe what your area does.
  • Select an image of people that depicts/evokes core University activity or research, see Photography Brand Guidelines and/or contact Photography/Creative and Production for advice about using images from the Cumulus image library.
  • You also have the option to include a primary or secondary ‘CTA’ button to lead users to more information on other pages in your site. The CTA should link to key user tasks or content.
