ADVANCED MUSCULOSKELETAL PHYSIOTHERAPY PRACTICE

In this subject you are given the opportunity to develop advanced neuro-musculoskeletal examination and management skills within a clinical reasoning paradigm. Supervised clinical practice encourages and facilitates rational decision making with respect to treatment selection, treatment progression and planning on going management programs. You are also given the opportunity to integrate advanced manipulative physiotherapy manual techniques and exercise prescription into your clinical practice. You will complete160 hours of supervised clinical practice within the Australian healthcare environment, which will be accumulated over the year at hospital out patient departments and/or private physiotherapy clinics.

Introductory material to the placements.
|2 x Clinical examinations (3000 words equivalent) 2 x clinical exams. First exam consists of one 1-hour initial clinical assessment plus 15min questions (1,250 words). Second exam consists of one 1 hour initial clinical consultation and 30-min follow up treatment plus 15 minutes of questions(1,750 words).
