This subject will introduce you to more advanced aspects of molecular genetics and analysis, including genomics and DNA sequencing; analysis of gene expression, and proteomics. The emphasis is on the genome as a whole, rather than at the level of the gene.

01. Explain the methodology used in DNA recombinant technology and how it can be applied in biomedical research.
02. Describe the approaches used to sequence single genes and whole genomes, and the methods used in genetic mapping.

04. Explain the methodology for the separation, purification and identification of cellular proteins and describe how these techniques can be applied in biomedical research.
