La Trobe University offers its support to students, staff and members of our community affected by the current Hamas-Israel conflict.
We understand this is a distressing time for many in our community, in particular those with families and friends in the region. Support is available for students via our Health, Wellbeing and Inclusion team.
The Australian Government yesterday updated its travel advice to the region, and has advised against travel to Gaza or areas near the Gaza border.
The overall travel advice for Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories is to exercise a high degree of caution. Higher levels apply in some areas. You can follow updates to this advice on the Australian Government Smarttraveller website here.
We have established that there are currently no staff members, students or graduate researchers on University business or studying in Israel.
We are offering support to nationals from the region studying with La Trobe.
