Career Workshop Session 2: How to be a strong applicant in the Australian job market – Part 1
Date: Thursday 1 May, 3 pm – 4.30 pm

The purpose of these sessions is to help students understand the Australian job market and explore the key areas they may need to be aware of, especially if they are unfamiliar with them. In the second session, you’ll explore in the following topics:
- Available resources and key takeaways
- Tailoring your resume and cover letter to fit local standards and how they are different
- What are key selection criteria and important factors to consider when responding them
Interview & mock preparation webinar*

Interviews can be a little intimidating, and the uncertainty about the questions you’ll face can sometimes deter you from applying for the job. You’re not alone in feeling this way, many of us share the same concerns. In this webinar, we’ll be covering:

How to explore job opportunities without a PR for International students – panel session

Mock Interviews (reserve your place)
Date: Thursday 15 May, 11 am – 1.30 pm
Location: City campus
Suitable for: All students
Mock (or practice) interviews are being offered to students from all disciplines and will take place at the City campus with limited places available. Students will have a one-to-one practice interview with an industry representative or a La Trobe staff member which will take approximately 25 minutes. Register via the link below and also check out what webinars are recommended you complete before attending your mock interview.
You also have access to the La Trobe University Interview Dashboard to practice your interview skills or to upload your resume and receive immediate feedback.
* Students who have registered to participate in a mock interview on 15 May are encouraged to attend this workshop.
