From 23 to 27 March 2026, all Victorian universities will come together for Respect Week at Uni, a shared, sector-wide commitment to promote respect, equality and inclusion across campuses, online spaces and communities.

Respect Week at La Trobe is part of the Respect at La Trobe program. It highlights the University’s ongoing work to prevent gender-based violence and sexual harm. This work is guided by the Prevention and Response to Gender-Based Violence Action Plan 2026-2029.

As students, Respect Week at La Trobe is an opportunity to pause, reflect and have honest conversations about “respect” and the kind of campus culture we want to create and be a part of.

Take a look below to find out how you can get involved on-campus or online.

The Safe and Respected at La Trobe Campaign

The Safe and Respected at La Trobe campaign runs from 2 March – 3 April, focused on preventing sexual harm and raising awareness of support services across our university.

During this time, you may see campaign posters and digital messages across campus, highlighting what sexual harm is, reinforcing that it is never acceptable and outlining how to access help and support.

View the campaign website to learn more about the campaign and understand support options.
