The Conscientious Objections Policy has recently been reviewed and updated and we’d like your feedback.
This policy explains what happens if your personal or strongly-held beliefs conflict with your course requirements.
As part of the review, the new draft:
- now covers both coursework students and research students (including research activities)
- explains and clarifies what “conscientious beliefs” means
- gives better guidance on how the University considers requests for accommodations
- clarifies when accommodations may not be possible
- formalises steps for reviews, complaints and record-keeping
- better aligns with other University policies and legal requirements
Have your say
We’d like to hear your feedback on this draft. You can read it and share your thoughts on the Policy Library Bulletin Board under Conscientious Objections Policy. Feedback is open until close of business on Friday 17 July.
