Got 5 minutes? Get a free health check at the Club House!

Looking for a quick and easy way to check in on your health? The Medibank SiSU Health Station will be at the new Club House in the Agora at our Melbourne (Bundoora) Campus from 16 September to 14 October, and it’s here to help you take charge of your wellbeing.

Thanks to our partnership with Medibank, all students can access this free, self-service health check. No bookings, no fuss – just drop in Monday to Thursday, 11 am to 2 pm.

What’s the SiSU Health Station?

It’s a five-minute health check machine that gives you instant results on:

  • Blood pressure and heart rate
  • Height, weight and BMI
  • Body composition (including body fat percentage)
  • Type 2 diabetes risk (using the AUSDRISK tool)

You’ll see your results on screen and can access them anytime via the SiSU Health mobile app.

Why you should care

Cardiovascular disease is still Australia’s leading cause of death, and high blood pressure often has no symptoms. With over 1.3 million Australians diagnosed with diabetes, early detection matters. Knowing your numbers can help you start important conversations and take action early.

How does it work?

Just tap the screen and follow the prompts, then you’ll get instant results. If anything’s outside the healthy range, the station will suggest seeing your GP. Make sure to use your personal email address when checking in.

Keep in mind that this isn’t diagnostic tool, but it is a great way to kickstart your health journey.

Your health, your way

Whether you’re curious, tracking progress or just want a baseline, this is a simple way to stay on top of your health. It’s all part of La Trobe’s commitment to student wellbeing, which is made possible through our partnership with Medibank.
