Free hearing tests for kids at the La Trobe Communication Clinic

Do you have young children or know someone who does? The Audiology Department at La Trobe is offering free hearing tests in 2026, making it easy for families to access professional hearing services on campus.

Hearing tests are conducted by Master of Clinical Audiology students, under the supervision of qualified Audiologists. The clinics offer a supportive, child‑friendly environment and help to identify potential hearing concerns early, while providing valuable hands‑on clinical experience for La Trobe students.

Clinic dates

  • First Monday of every month, starting 2 March 2026
  • For children aged 8 months to 8 years
  • Appointments available from 8:30am–4:30pm

There will also be additional clinics for preschool-aged children (4–5 years old) on Saturday 28 March 2026 and Tuesday 31 March 2026, with further dates in July and October to be announced later.
