Quietening Your Inner Critic: Online Group Program

University life can be challenging, and that inner voice that says “I’m not good enough” or “I don’t belong here” can make it even harder.
If you’d like to:
- Build motivation without being so hard on yourself
- Increase self-kindness
- Reduce self-doubt and imposter feelings
- Support both your wellbeing and your academic performance
…this group is for you.
Quieting Your Inner Critic is a supportive 3-week online group program run by the La Trobe Counselling team. Together, we’ll explore practical, evidence-based strategies to help you make meaningful changes — with more self-kindness and less self-criticism.
Session dates:
You attend all three sessions:
- Tuesday 24 March 2026
- Tuesday 31 March 2026
- Tuesday 14 April 2026
Please note: There is no session during the mid-semester break.
Time: 10:30am – 12:30pm
Location: Online via Zoom (link provided upon registration)
Because this is a group program, we ask that cameras are turned on so everyone can feel connected and supported. You’re welcome to participate in ways that feel comfortable for you through group discussions, small breakout rooms or the chat function.
You don’t have to be perfect to belong here — just open to trying something new.
