A lot of men assume exercising one’s body is about hitting the gym or lifting heavy weights or going for a 10 km run. But the truth is, any physical activity can dramatically improve your health.
It’s time to move it, move it
Regular movement increases the levels of Serotonin, the neurotransmitter which is linked to one’s mood or the ‘feel good’ part of your brain. Even simple activity improves one’s sense of wellbeing, sharpens focus and helps one sleep better. All contributing to lower stress levels among men (and women).
Just a little activity goes a long way
Kick a ball, hit the gym, walk with a mate—every bit counts. Find an activity you enjoy doing and gradually increase the duration as you get fitter. Your body and mind will thank you. Find more information about men’s health here.
