Career Ready Advantage Award
The Career Ready Advantage Award supports you to develop the skills and experience employers told us they value most. The program:
- Builds fantastic content for your graduate resume
- Provides you with stories and examples to share with employers in job interviews
- Shows employers your initiative and the commitment you have made to develop graduate employability
- Develops highly valued transferrable skills and experiences that employer’s value

Industry Mentoring Program
Are you looking to map your career, expand your professional network and gain a competitive edge when applying for jobs?
Registrations are now open for the Semester 1 round of the Industry Mentoring Program. Commencing 20 March 2023, the program runs for 12 weeks and is flexible for you and your mentor to tailor to your career aspirations and personal development.
What can you gain from the Industry Mentoring Program?
- Career guidance and advice from an industry professional, including La Trobe alumni
- Connect with industry and expand your professional network
- Develop confidence communicating with industry professionals
- Help map career progression
- Take part in professional development opportunities

Thursday 13 April and Friday 14 April 9:30 am – 4:30 pm City Campus | Industry Intensive Hackathon – International Students La Trobe University has partnered with the Big Issue to bring you a two-day Hackathon. If you’re an international student wanting to gain industry experience and make a real impact, this is the opportunity for you! Work in teams to find a “hack” for your client! Learn how to think creatively and then pitch your idea. The team who can pitch the best idea will win $3000. The Big Issue is an independent, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting and creating work opportunities for people experiencing homelessness, marginalisation, and disadvantage.
