Student to student: Wrangling your references: how to avoid information overload
This session will introduce you to a range of different strategies and resources you may like to experiment with to organise your research (from spreadsheets to scrapbooks to EndNote and Zotero), which will be particularly helpful if you’re doing an honours or minor thesis. We hope you’ll be closer to finding a system or strategy that might work for you by the end of the session, but it takes quite a while and a lot of practice and experimentation to really get into it. We will also help you find further support with reference management.

Careers in Health Forum
More than 250 students will be at La Trobe for the Health Forum. In its 5th year, the forum is a collaboration between Albury Wodonga Health, Careers Advisers, CSU, LTU, Wodonga TAFE and TAFE NSW. 32 interactive information sessions highlighting various careers in health are held throughout the day and presented by professionals in their respective fields. Students have the ability to ask questions of career professionals and education providers.

Free Cooking Classes: Middle East Salad Feast: Fattoush & Couscous
Nutrition at La Trobe is offering a series of free cooking classes on at the Eagle Bar and at Accommodation Services. Learn to make middle eastern salads, pickle and preserve fruits and veggies, make dumplings and Vietnamese rolls. 

Nutrition at La Trobe is a new trial campaign, with plans to extend cooking classes to all campuses.

Autumn Cycling Classic
La Trobe University’s picturesque Bundoora Campus will once again host the Autumn Cycling Classic in 2023, with this year’s event set to be the biggest and best edition yet. One of the largest cycling events in Australia, the Autumn Cycling Classic is hosted by the Northern Combine (via the Preston Cycling Club) in partnership with La Trobe University.

This year’s event will take place on Saturday 22 April and will host hundreds of elite, junior and recreational riders at La Trobe University’s three-kilometre-long closed circuit Ring Road course.
