Conversation Club
Did you know that talking and connecting with people is a valuable social AND academic skill? Our conversation club is where you can meet, talk, and listen! We are a friendly place where you can share your experiences about study and life in Australia and connect with other students, both international and local.
What will we discuss?

We discuss topics including culture, and life in Australia, as well as useful language points. It’s an opportunity to develop your social and interaction skills too. The only thing you need to bring is your experiences and an open mind.
Please bring your questions about studying in Australia or life in Australia to us and we can share what we know. We would also love to hear from you if you’re offshore! What is your offshore study La Trobe experience like? If you’re here already, how has your experience been so far?

Come and help us monitor the arboreal mammals, birds and bats that utilise the nest boxes and natural tree hollows throughout the Nangak Tamboree Wildlife Sanctuary.

It’s easy! Each volunteer will be allocated a tree or ‘stag’ to watch for one hour at sunset and will record any animals they observe emerging or entering nest boxes and hollows. This valuable data helps our biodiversity staff to monitor native animal populations, nest box usage and peak activity times in the Sanctuary.
