COVID-19 Update - Parking permit refunds

Student permit refunds

Students who have purchased an annual or 6-month v-Permit (virtual parking permit) will be automatically refunded in full. The funds will be returned via the original method of payment (i.e. Debit/Credit card or Bank Transfer).

Refunds will be processed as soon as possible and students will be contacted by the La Trobe Traffic and Parking office when their refund has been processed. Thank you for your patience.

Staff permit refunds

For staff with annual or 6-month permits, refunds will only be issued on request. Instructions on how to request your refund are available below – this depends on how you purchased your permit. Salary deducted permits will be cancelled automatically.

The following refunds will apply for staff with annual or 6-month permits:

  • Annual permits: 80% of the permit price will be refunded
  • 6 month permits: 55% of the permit price will be refunded

Salary deducted permits (staff only) will be cancelled automatically: The University will arrange salary deducted permits to be cancelled automatically for staff. The permit will be cancelled from the next full pay cycle. Once it is clearer when staff will be able to access the campus, we will advise how permits can be reinstated.

How to find your vPermit number

  1. Log in to vPermit at https://vpermit.com.au/latrobe
  2. Click on ‘My Permits’
  3. On the far right, under ‘Permit#’ copy your permit number (see image on right, click to enlarge)
  4. Email traffic@latrobe.edu.au with the following details:
    • Full name
    • Email address (the same email address that is linked to your v-Permit account)
    • Permit number (taken from vPermit – see step 3 above)
  5. Your refund will be processed as soon as possible via the same method of payment (i.e. Debit/Credit card). If your Debit/Credit card details have changed, please provide your bank details instead including Account Name, BSB, Account Number.

How to find your vPermit number

  1. Log in to vPermit at https://vpermit.com.au/latrobe
  2. Click on ‘My Permits’ to see your parking permit
  3. On the far right, under ‘Permit#’ copy your permit number (see image on right, click to enlarge)
  4. Email traffic@latrobe.edu.au with the following details:
    1. Full name
    2. Email address (the same email address that is linked to your v-Permit account)
    3. Permit number (taken from vPermit – see step 3 above)
    4. Bank details – include Account Name, BSB, Account Number
  5. Your refund will be processed as soon as possible into the nominated bank account.
