While applying through VTAC there was an option to apply for the scholarship.

I looked at the criteria and I ticked all the boxes. I almost didn’t do it. Then something in me said “it’s worth a shot, can’t hurt to try”. So I wrote out a statement explaining the hardships I had faced while growing up and I was able to demonstrate a time I had excelled. I hit submit and fortunately my application was successful. 

I feel supported and know that something positive has come from many challenges.
