In this subject students will investigate the normal range of physiological responses to sport, exercise and performance training. Particular attention will be given to the physiological responses and adaptations of the cardiovascular, respiratory, musculoskeletal, nervous, endocrine and immune systems to sport and exercise to sport and exercise in healthy individuals.

01. Discuss the function, regulation and interaction of physiological systems relating to exercise.
02. Evaluate and describe the individual and integrated physiological responses and adaptations to acute and chronic exercise.
03. Apply knowledge of the physiological responses to acute exercise and the adaptations to chronic exercise to inform exercise programming.
04. Analyse and interpret physiological data obtained during acute exercise, and compare such data between time points, individuals and populations.
05. Safely monitor and evaluate physiological responses at rest and during exercise.
