Subject Description This subject will consolidate and further develop your knowledge, skills and appreciation of a variety of research methods in psychology including meta-analysis, multivariate statistics, model testing approaches, qualitative designs and cross-cultural research methods, through seminars and a colloquium series. Discussion of research designs will strengthen your analytical skills and ability to choose suitable research designs. Online modules and assignments will enhance hands-on competencies in data analysis and report writing.

Learning Activities You will participate in weekly seminars, complete online modules at your own pace and submit short reports on two of the topics provided. You will also participate and appreciate the weekly colloquia presented by researchers from the School of Psychology and Public Health and other institutions, and critically examine the methods used to investigate a variety of research questions in psychology.
