Subject outline

In this subject you will complete 140 hours of professional practicum within an approved health organisation. These hours will contribute to the requirements for registration as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist with Exercise and Sports Science Australia. Your professional skills, including communication skills, assessment and clinical exercise prescription skills will be developed under direct supervision from appropriately qualified and experienced clinicians working in a range of healthcare settings. You will develop your ability to be a reflective practitioner through learning activities completed while undertaking your practicum. Students will complete a pre-clinical program as part of EXS5PPA and prior to commencing practicum.
