Subject outline

Pre-Service Teachers will build an understanding of literacy and numeracy as social practices. Pre-Service Teachers will examine and review essential literacy and numeracy skills required by teachers. Pre-Service Teachers will be required to identify and examine their own literacy and numeracy capabilities and practices and developed these through a series of online skill-development modules. Through weekly reflections, students will improve their understandings of their own literacy and numeracy skills, in order to meet the literacy and numeracy demands of teachers.

Lecture/SeminarWeek: 10 - 22
Four 8.00 h lecture/seminar per study period on weekends during the day from week 10 to week 22 and delivered via face-to-face.
All face to face classes will be conducted on the Bundoora campus. Be aware that this subject requires 2 lecturers. 3 classes x 7hrs each. Because CIMS cannot comprehend '2 lecturers' I have had to double the number of classes in this entry.
