In this subject students will draw on their experiences in their first placement to critically reflect upon the purpose of social work, its knowledge values and skills and how they integrate these into practice competencies. They will apply critical reflection to explore and develop knowledge about the issues they are facing in placement and the knowledge and skills they need to apply to address these issues. Students will also explore their professional boundaries and self care plans and how they approach learning in the field placement.
