Subject outline

This subject provides you, as a graduate entry student into the Master of Social Work, opportunities to use your prior learning and experience. Your understanding and awareness of culturally competent practice will be developed through recognition of the experiences of 'difference' with particular reference to Indigenous Australians. You will also develop your understanding of diversity, particularly as this relates to marginalization and exclusion and learn how to analyse the history and development of social work as a key profession in the pursuit of social justice. .
