In this subject, you will explore the theoretical concepts and principles that underpin the field of sports analytics and performance analysis. Using small and pre-existing sports-related data sets, you will be taught basic data handling and analytical skills. You will explore a variety of techniques available to the sports analyst to analyse athlete performance. You will also develop an appreciation of the limitations of performance and sports analytics techniques.
