Globalisation is a major social force with wide-reaching consequences. The process of globalisation has had dramatic effects on our social, cultural and economic landscapes and its effects are both complex and politically charged. Each week, we draw on a range of case studies to illustrate the increasingly interconnected nature of the contemporary world to help us understand how local contexts and lives are shaped by global processes and how these processes are resisted.
