Subject outline

This extended industry placement subject provides you with opportunities to develop their technical/applied, discipline specific and professional skills with the aim to enhance their career prospects. You will be responsible for identifying a suitable work placement prior to the semester with support of the Subject Coordinator and online materials. Industry experience can be gained in Australia or overseas for most disciplines. You will conduct a course-related original project, in an appropriate format that demonstrates analytical, research and problem-solving skills relevant to the sector. You will identify and articulate your knowledge and skills and apply them to relevant contexts and work-settings. You will be encouraged via self-awareness to evaluate their strengths required to facilitate a future role in their chosen career, develop curriculum vitae and resumes, creates professional digital profile via platforms like LinkedIn, understanding industry and professional networks and develop interview skills. These skills will be concomitantly articulated along side a detailed career plan.
