This subject takes you through an in-depth analysis of contemporary and controversial topics in Sports and Exercise Physiotherapy. Final Year Master of Sports Physiotherapy you will form teams to deliver a Webinar to their fellow students on these selected topics in Sports Physiotherapy including the latest research evidence and translation of research to clinical sports physiotherapy practice. Each student in the group will be given a specific aspect of the topic to research and deliver to their peers. Each topic will be studied in terms of epidemiology of the problem, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment techniques and planning of return to sports management and prevention.

01. Investigate and apply current evidence and research-based approaches used in sports physiotherapy, particularly those related to the causes and prevention of sports injuries at the elite level.
02. Synthesise advanced knowledge of the epidemiology, incidence and prevalence of different sports injuries.
03. Plan comprehensive management plans for the return to competition of injured elite athletes.
04. Apply advanced critical understanding of biomedical, behavioural and clinical sciences relevant to sports physiotherapy.
