In this subject students are given the opportunity to develop skills in patient examination and differential diagnosis within a clinical reasoning paradigm. Supervised clinical practice encourages and facilitates rational decision making with respect to treatment selection, treatment progression and planning ongoing management programs.

01. Assess and manage an athlete/clients sports injury related problems using appropriate communication and collaboration with clients, coaches and other support staff, carers, family and health professional colleagues to at least the minimum standard expected for a postgraduate sports physiotherapist.
02. Assess an athlete/clients sports injury related problem using a sensitive and specific client interview to at least the standard of a postgraduate sports physiotherapist.
03. Justify and perform a safe, systematic, efficient, prioritised physical assessment to the minimum standard expected of a postgraduate sports physiotherapist
04. Combine advanced clinical reasoning and an evidence based approach to analyse and interpret assessment findings to minimum standard expected of a postgraduate sports physiotherapist.
05. Manage clients with sports injury disorders by selecting, performing, monitoring and progressing interventions safely and precisely to the minimum standard expected of a postgraduate sports physiotherapist
06. Plan for improved future performance by reflecting on the processes by which clinical decisions were made during patient interactions
07. Demonstrate professional behaviour appropriate to at least the minimum standard expected for a postgraduate sports physiotherapist
