In this subject students will learn how to use a patient-centred model of clinical reasoning to assist with diagnosis, assessment and management of common fracture and vertebral conditions. Students will develop skills in selecting and performing assessment tasks and in designing, implementing and progressing management programs for common fracture and vertebral conditions. The clinical reasoning model includes reference to the WHO International Classification of Functioning framework , a biopsychosocial approach to health care and an emphasis on evidence based practice.

02. Select, justify and safely conduct a case sensitive subjective and physical assessment and interpret the assessment findings for people with common limb fractures and joint arthroplasties across the lifespan
03. Select, justify and safely conduct a case sensitive treatment for people with common limb fractures & joint arthroplasties across the lifespan
04. Conduct a sensitive and case specific interview for a patient presenting with a vertebral disorder to establish and document a clear understanding of the patient and their status to guide physical examination choices and a management plan
05. Plan, justify and safely conduct a targeted physical examination and interpret the assessment findings for a patient presenting with a vertebral disorder
06. Select, justify, safely apply and evaluate appropriate interventions for a patient presenting with a vertebral disorder
07. Select, safely apply and medico legally document high velocity, low amplitude (HVLA manipulation techniques to the lumbar and thoracic regions of the spines (ASofP7.1).
