PSY5PNB
2020
Credit points: 15
Subject outline
In this practicum subject you will build on the foundation knowledge and skills obtained from PSY5PNA and begin to develop competencies essential for clinical neuropsychology practice by undertaking practice in evidence-based assessment, case formulation, intervention, and professional writing of case notes and reports. The placement requires attendance for the equivalent of two days per week over approximately five months (45 days). The case analysis series provides the opportunity for you, at all stages within the degree, to observe and present case material arising from placement with scope for detailed discussion of neurological and psychological disorders that give rise to patterns of behaviour and cognitive performance. Professional and ethical issues that can arise in the practice of clinical neuropsychology are also discussed. .
