In this subject students will develop their understanding of indications for appropriate drug therapies. Authentic clinical cases and enquiry-based activities are used to develop the student's understanding of prescribing issues in commonly encountered conditions in the context of evidence-based practice. The pharmacokinetics, dynamics and prescription protocols for schedule 4 drugs of interest to the podiatrist are covered in detail. The adverse effects and potential complications of these drugs are also discussed.
