Subject outline

In this subject students will develop their understanding of the pathology, assessment and management of dermatological conditions of the foot. Podiatrists frequently assess and manage clients with pathology of their skin and nails. Students will develop an understanding of the normal anatomy and function of the integumentary system. They will then develop an understanding of the pathophysiological processes involved in development of common dermatological conditions affecting the foot and design intervention programs to effectively manage these conditions. Students will engage with online resources, published journal articles, and case studies.
