In this subject students are provided with the opportunity to undertake a physics / nanotechnology research project under the supervision of La Trobe University staff or jointly with La Trobe University staff and appropriate outside organisations. Students are encouraged to develop their own interests and may gain experience in functional materials, surface science and X-ray science, and tackle problems of fundamental or applied nature. The project outcomes will be presented in a seminar at the end of the teaching period.
